URGENT: Australia To Ban Vape Imports (1 March 2024)

URGENT: Australia To Ban Vape Imports (1 March 2024)

Notice To All Our Valued Customers

Australian Government's 1 March 2024 ban on vape imports

The Australian Government have announced a ban on the personal imports of all vaping products, starting 1 March 2024. This ban is a serious threat that will impact your ability to continue vaping.

As a valued member of the Vaper Empire family, we would like to answer some of the urgent questions customers have regarding this new plan and what it could mean for you.

If your questions have not been answered below, please contact us at [email protected]

What exactly does the ban say?

Australians will no longer be able to import any vaping products for personal use or purchase them from general retailers and vape shops within Australia. The only legal source of vape devices, vape accessories and e-liquids will be Australian pharmacies, with a doctor's prescription. There will be restricted nicotine strengths, limited flavour choices (tobacco, menthol and mint only), and overall very few options.

This means that from the 1st of March, 2024, Vaper Empire and all other online suppliers will no longer be able to offer Australians any vaping products.

On 1 January 2024, the Australian Government banned the importation of single-use disposable vapes into Australia. This regulation change did not affect Vaper Empire customers, since none of our products are considered single-use disposable vapes.

On 1 March 2024, the Australian Government will implement new legislation, which will expand the ban to include imports of all other vape devices, including reusable and refillable vapes. The Personal Importation Scheme will be cancelled, further banning personal imports of all bottled e-liquids, prefilled pods, and prefilled e-cig cartomisers, whether they contain nicotine or not - even if you have a prescription.

From early 2024, the Australian Government plans to implement a domestic ban on the manufacture, supply, advertising and commercial possession of all vape products. You will no longer be able to purchase any vape products from general retailers and vape shops within Australia.

Can I still purchase vape devices and e-liquids before 1 March 2024?

Yes | We will continue offering all of our vape products until the ban comes into force. The personal import vape ban is scheduled to become effective on 1 March 2024. At that time, Vaper Empire will be required to cease sales of all vape products, including vape devices, vape accessories and e-liquids, whether they contain nicotine or not - even if you have a prescription. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as we know more.

Can I still purchase Vaper Empire products after 1 March 2024?

Yes | Vaper Empire products are available in Australia through pharmacy, including online pharmacy such as

  • MyDuke
